Description

Join us in Frensham on Tuesday 4th April from 10am for a Plunkett Members' Meeting hosted by the Frensham Community Shop team. Plunkett Foundation is excited to be holding a series of meetings for our members across the UK so if you are located in and around Surrey please do join us.

You will meet other members in your region, all bringing their knowledge and expertise from a range of community co-operative models - all welcome! There will be a small charge (with a discounted rated for members) to attend the meeting to help cover organisational costs for both Plunkett as well as the meeting host. Non-members are welcome to attend in order to discover the benefits of Plunkett membership!

Welcome refreshments will be provided on arrival. This is a great opportunity to see this a fantastic community shop in action and to meet members of the shop committee. This meeting is open to all community co-operative models to encourage sharing of best practice around a range of key topics.

We will also be looking to our members to help us shape a valuable networking approach that best serve your needs and help your community co-operative to thrive. To view our current calendar of members' meetings please visit www.plunkett.co.uk/events or contact your Membership Manager, Harriet English, on membership@plunkett.co.uk.

Please note members will be encouraged to purchase lunch goodies at the shop or at the local pub and to continue networking!

We support rural communities across the UK to tackle the issues they face through community business. Community businesses are enterprises that are owned and run democratically by members of the community, on behalf of the community. They come in many forms, including shops, pubs, woodlands and anything that lends itself to community ownership.
